Famille Helfrich Portfolio tasting comes to Manchester and London as next phase in expansion plans

For the first time, the Famille Helfrich Portfolio Tasting for the independents and on-trade will take place in both Manchester and London this year on 5 and 12 October respectively. It is hoped the new locations – Manchester Hall and 67 Pall Mall – will open up the event to a wider audience of Famille Helfrich’s existing customers and drive new business as part of their new expansion plans in these areas.

The tasting will mark the official launch of the extensive new European wine and spirits list from Famille Helfrich, the independent and on-trade arm of Les Grands Chais de France. A carefully chosen snapshot of around 250 award-winning wines and a small selection of spirits will be shown at the tasting, taken from the new list which has now been extended to include 870 wines from both fully owned and partner properties, as well as over 50 different spirits.

In addition to presenting European wines, the tasting will also unveil for the first time, wines from Las Niñas, a 40-hectare property in Chile recently purchased by Famille Helfrich’s parent company, Les Grands Chais de France. Other New World wines will also be available at the tasting from the Paul Sapin range for the first time.

Customers looking for something unique for Christmas this year will be able to sample a mixture of exclusive parcels from Burgundy, Bordeaux and the South of France, all of which can be delivered in time for the busy seasonal buying period.

Regional French wine making experts will be on hand to guide visitors round the tasting and answer any questions, along with respected Rhône Valley winemaker, Claire Clavel owner of Clavel Wines.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet new National Account Manager for Famille Helfrich, Julien Dillmann, who will play a key role supporting Davies’s plans to increase awareness of the Helfrich Family’s wholly owned properties in London and the South.

“This tasting is our opportunity to showcase our extensive portfolio of exceptional wines from across France, the rest of Europe and now the New World to new audiences at opposite ends of the country,” says Chris Davies, Sales Director of family-owned and run, Famille Helfrich. “These wines are all exclusive to the on-trade and independent sector and we tailor our offering to meet their unique needs.” To register for the tasting which will be run with Covid safe protocols in place, please contact Chris Davies on chris.davies@lgcf.fr
