Delaunay Vins & Domaines achieves major milestone with B Corp Certification

Burgundy and Languedoc based wine group, Delaunay Vins & Domaines has achieved B Corp Certification, marking a major milestone in the long-term transformation of the Delaunay family business towards one with responsibility and sustainability embedded at its core.

Following the in-depth assessment of the Group, it achieved a score of 88.1 points, comfortably exceeding the minimum 80 points that companies are required to attain. The certification encompasses 12 of the Group’s brands and houses and puts Delaunay Vins & Domaines amongst a select group of only 24 B Corp-certified businesses in the French wine industry.

This highly respected certification is the result of several years of hard work through STEP, the Group’s ambitious CSR strategy developed under the direction of Jeanne Delaunay, who joined the family business in 2023 and also heads up Abbotts & Delaunay in the Languedoc. Established around four pillars – Society, Team, Excellence and Planet, STEP was created to ensure responsibility was always at the heart of the Group’s development and long-term decision-making.

Guided by Jeanne’s leadership, STEP has translated into a broad range of concrete initiatives across all aspects of the business and extending into the wider wine industry including; reducing glass consumption by 5.3%, bringing the average bottle weight down to 450.8 g in 2025, 87.3% of purchases of grapes, musts, and bulk wines in 2025 were certified Organic or HEV compared with 16.8% in 2023, and with 2.5 times less sugar, half the calories and 40% less alcohol than a classic spritz, the new La Belle Angèle Spritz illustrates the Delaunays’  commitment to developing offerings that align with new expectations: lighter and more accessible, without compromising on aromatic complexity or the tasting experience.

This ambitious journey has already been recognized along the way, with Delaunay Vins & Domaines being awarded an EcoVadis Bronze medal in December 2023, progressing to a Silver in April 2025. B Corp Certification now represents reaching another significant step in the evolution of the sustainability strategy which is so important to the Group.

Laurent, Catherine and Jeanne Delaunay say,

“B Corp Certification is not only the most demanding global standards for CSR, it also has strong recognition amongst consumers, and marks a major milestone in our family’s ongoing commitment to sustainable development throughout Delaunay Vins & Domaines and we couldn’t be more proud.

However, for us B Corp is not the finishing line. It is very important independent recognition of the progress we have made so far, but it is also the starting point for a new phase of continuous improvement and there is much more to do; measuring our impact more extensively, challenging our practices, and continuing to evolve our business model collectively and over the long term.

Our responsibility lies not only in developing our business today, but also in caring for what we will pass on tomorrow: preserved terroirs, living expertise, engaged teams, lasting

relationships with our suppliers and partners and a family-owned company capable of continuing its story.”
