Emma, co-founder and now sole owner and director of Eviva Communications, has been in the wine trade in various guises for over 20 years. Starting her career in wine with one of her major loves, France, Emma learnt the basics of generic wine PR at what was then the French government food and wine marketing agency, Sopexa. After a gap year of travelling around the globe, Emma decided to end her travels in Sydney where she worked at leading Australian wine PR agency, Winestream gaining experience in promoting a range of well-known Australian wine brands.

On returning to these shores, Emma became a brand manager for Bibendum Wines, before going freelance combining lifestyle PR with journalism. Highlights included running a highly visible national media campaign surrounding Euro 2004 to promote tourism to Portugal and reviewing for the AA Restaurant Guide and Time Out. Emma then went on to co-found Eviva in 2004.

Emma has a degree in European Business and French from Nottingham Trent University, a CAM Communications, Advertising and Marketing Diploma and WSET Level 3. She is a judge at the IWC, was on the judging panel for the Drinks International Wine Tourism Awards and in 2016 judged the Sud de France Sommelier of the Year Competition. She also speaks fluent French and conversational Spanish.

In her spare time Emma loves to travel, is a very flexible yogi, and enjoys cooking and, of course, a decent glass of wine!
